NEW LIFE COMMUNITY CHURCH
Audio Visual Ministry
2009 Annual Report

The members of the Audio Visual Ministry, have once again been privileged to spend a year in service to the Lord through technical services provided to the church and its ministries.

During 2009, we:

In addition to these regular duties, during June and July we spent considerable time in preparing the sanctuary for the use of one of the church's tenants (New Hope Portuguese Church), by significantly rewiring our audio installation, and acquiring certain equipment, to enable them to take advantage of our existing wiring and speakers. Doing this has enabled us to support ourselves, as well as up to two other organizations, using the same on-stage wiring, without one user interfering with another.
Special thanks to Karen Davis, who spent nearly fourteen hours helping with that project.

We have continued to work closely with the two churches, and the Community Bible Study group, all of which utilize the NLCC main sanctuary, to help them with audio and video issues and requirements.

During the last few months of the year, we found it necessary to have our main sound mixing console repaired. We did this, but more repairs are needed, and will be made in 2010.

With the cooperation of the Deacon Board, we began looking at options to upgrade our video projection systems, including a newer and better screen, mounted at the back of the stage; and and a ceiling mounted projector, to eliminate issues with our current projector, which is nearly ten years old. Unfortunately we discovered that the cost to undertake this project would be approximately twelve thousand dollars, and we have decided to postpone it until more funding is available.

I would personally like to thank Ed Beideman for his long years of service with this ministry in various capacities; as well as David String and Dianne Bridger who have served as part of our video team this past year.
I especially thank Steve Ghazarian, who in addition to taking time every week to prepare the video announcement presentation which runs before and after our services, has also had to take on more sermon and praise powerpoint preparation work than usual this year.

In synopsis, 2009 was a strong year of service for our ministry, and we look forward to the challenges and blessings which 2010 will bring.

Respectfully Submitted;
Luke J. Davis, Director
